We aim to only work with the best.
At Vertex Capital Group the safety and security of client funds is of the utmost importance. We appreciate that in the current financial and economic climate, investors may have some questions regarding the security of their investments within stockbroking firms. Vertex Capital Group is a trading name of Vinco Wealth Management which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), registration number 770606. The FCA is the UK’s financial services regulator and it enforces strict rules to make sure that client money is protected. The security of client money and assets is at the heart of the UK regulations.
Vertex Capital Group does not hold client money or assets. Instead, we use custodians who are closely regulated to best ensure client money is protected. The custodians are required to hold client money in trust in one or more segregated bank accounts with the clients as beneficiaries. This protection means that client funds are held separately from the custodian’s own money and cannot be used in the course of its day-to-day business operations. In the unlikely event of a default by Vertex Capital Group, clients will have direct access to their funds at the custodians.
Protection is provided by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS is the UK’s statutory fund of protection for customers of UK authorised financial services firms. As our custodians provide different trading accounts, it will depend on which account you choose as to which custodian is used.
For detailed information on who your custodian will be ask your broker who will be happy to provide all of the paperwork and agreements.
We hope this information has addressed any concerns that you may have had about the security of your investments but if you have any further questions, please contact us on 0207 036 3881.
